Bamboo nodes and powerfibers

Our net frames are made of thin strips of bamboo, split and glued together, just as split bamboo rods are made. Laminated and heat-tempered for strength. Wonderful ergonomic shaped handle. Mortised and pinned brass tang to secure the net. The flawless clear gloss finish highlights the natural beauty of the bamboo, looking as much like a work of art or a piece of fine furniture as a piece of fishing equipment.

Solid Brass Tang

All of our nets feature catch-and-release netting, to protect the trout as much as possible. The nets are deep enough to hold the fish once it is in the net, but not so deep as to make releasing the fish a game of hide-and-seek.

Rather than using screw-in eyelets for net attachment (which sometimes DO come loose/unscrewed), we have chosen to inset a solid brass tang mortised and pinned into the bamboo handle, that WILL NOT come out. Beautiful and functional.

All nets come with an elastic tether attached to the tang and, on the other end, a clip for easy attachment to vest or belt.
