If you’re fortunate enough to fish in an area where a 20+ inch fish is a real and regular possibility, then this is the net for you. The wide mouth of this net makes for quick and easy netting of large, energetic fish, whether they be trout, bass or… carp. It is a great net for belly-boating, where the extra width reduces those “near-miss” netting tries.
< As with , the handle is substantial, with a rounded form that fits naturally in the palm of your hand. It is large enough to give you leverage as you manoeuver the net through the water under a fish, and as you lift the netted fish out of the water.
As with our other nets, this frame is 100 % bamboo, mixed blond and brown-tone cane, with nodes and power fibers plainly visible. The catch-and-release net is deep enough to hold fish once they are netted, but not so deep as to make unhooking and releasing them a chore.
The bamboo is protected with 2 coats of polished gloss varnish.
